The QEII Foundation is currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our dynamic team as a Communications and Marketing Officer, special events focus.

Reporting to the VP of Communications and Marketing, the Communications and Marketing Officer helps to develop strategic communications and marketing programs and materials designed to elevate support of the QEII Health Sciences Centre, the QEII Foundation, and philanthropy. This position will provide counsel and support for marketing the Foundation’s special events and building relationships with community members who want to give back to health care.
Through brilliant graphic design, innovative advertising campaigns, and staying ahead of event marketing trends, this position plays an important role in elevating brand awareness and engagement. With high standards of excellence, you will lead the graphic design execution and advertising campaigns for events marketing and provide support with writing – both print and integrated online content for web and social media- editing, and video work, to name a few areas of expertise.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or Journalism.
A minimum of three years of professional experience.
Proven graphic design skills including designing professional campaigns from the bottom-up.
Past, successful event marketing experience.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
Superior written and verbal communications skills that ensure confident articulation of knowledge and ideas to both internal and external audiences.
Development of strategic content with exceptional attention to detail.
Strives for excellence with high levels of professional motivation and expectations.
Sound ethical practices.
The ability to build meaningful relationships quickly.
Must be flexible, show initiative, and have a results-driven philosophy with the ability to problem-solve.
Demonstrated organizational skills in relation to planning, managing competing timelines, prioritizing, and making informed decisions.
Understanding of, or interest in learning, fundraising principles.
Exceptional computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite).
The salary range for this position is dependent on qualifications.
