Reporting to the Executive-Vice President of Marketing & Communications, and supervising the Marketing & Communications Coordinator, the Marketing & Communications Manager will be an integral part of the team that will launch Halifax’s first five-star hotel and introduce a new district in the heart of Halifax. As a strategic, passionate marketer, you will apply your exceptional thinking, drive, skills and leadership across a variety of business areas from commercial and residential leasing to premium hotel marketing. This is interesting, fast-paced and career building work and it makes an impact on the city and the region.

You are an experienced marketing and communications generalist who is highly competent working in paid and earned media, traditional, digital, social, influencer and event marketing. You are fully capable of integrating channels and levers to build brand and reputation, drive sales and optimize outcomes. You manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities with grace, using insights and data to inform decisions and monitor results. You provide clear insight and feedback for colleagues, employees and suppliers.

You will hold an undergraduate degree as well as 5 -7 years of progressive Marketing & Communications experience, ideally with a national perspective and you stay current with trends and best practices in your field.
