We host and co-host professional development (PD) events

such as conferences, workshops and other learning sessions.

We also point communicators to third-party events of potential

 interest to our membership in the Maritimes.

Every December, IABC members volunteer their expertise to

help organizations in the Halifax region. For this annual Gift

of Giving event, our communication professionals pair up

with not-for-profit organizations.

Since all work and no play makes for dull days, we host regular sociables. Take advantage of the chance to meet other communicators in a casual setting.

IABC also provides opportunities for you to nominate your colleagues, manager or even yourself for awards. Recipients are honoured during award ceremonies for regional to international recognition (such as the Silver Leaf across Canada, and  Gold Quill globally).
