As a Communications Consultant, you’ll be at the heart of our client work. You’ll work closely with clients and team members to lead integrated communication strategies from inception to design to implementation and through analytics and reporting. At Iris, we believe creative

solutions come from smart thinking. We think differently, and we’re looking for someone to add their unique perspective to our team.

Your impact and responsibilities

As a Consultant, you will:

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to provide strategic communications counsel and advice to clients

  • Own client relationships and manage accounts to deliver exceptional client service

  • Develop and implement integrated communications strategies across paid, earned, shared, and owned media (PESO)

  • Oversee the development of media and social media monitoring and analytics reporting

  • Design, plan, and implement effective virtual and in-person stakeholder engagement and consultation processes

  • Contribute to new business development, including drafting proposals and engaging with prospective clients

  • Manage project budgets

Your role extends beyond communications, though; it’s about building lasting connections with clients and providing strategic solutions with a practical and realistic approach.

Qualifications and what we’re seeking

To thrive in this role, you need a background in a related field, 3-6 years of experience, and a degree or advanced diploma/certificate in public relations, marketing, or communications. While not required, experience in an agency setting delivering integrated communications, including social and digital communications, would be valuable.

You must be a self-starter and proactive in tackling work and delivering results for clients. You’re a strong writer with the ability to create engaging content through effective storytelling. You’ll also need to be collaborative, detail-oriented, and focused on elevating others (our clients and our team). This role will give you many opportunities to grow – if you’re willing to dive in and learn, Iris might be a great place for you.
