May 2, 2020 Exam Postponed
The IABC Maritime Canada chapter's May 2nd exam for Communication Management Professional certification has been postponed for safety concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus. We will reschedule the exam later in the year, using the advice from provincial and national public health officials concerning public events and travel.
If you're interested in professional certification, remember that you can still make an application at any time during the next few weeks; once you're approved, you will then have up to 2 years to register for any scheduled exam site that is convenient to you. One of the requirements for making a CMP application is demonstrating ongoing professional development, and this postponement will hopefully give prospective candidates more time to do so.
CMP Certification
IABC Maritimes Canada is hosting a Communication Management Professional
(CMP) exam on Saturday, September 28th, in the Windsor Foundation Room at the
Central Library. The exam will take place from 1 – 4 p.m., please allow yourself time
for parking.
The CMP exam is for professionals established in their careers as communication
managers, and are looking to demonstrate their competence. Candidates must have
a minimum of six years of experience, and 40 hours of training.
